| Punjabi Meaning | ਟੋਡੀ ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹੀ। ਸਤਿ ਸੰਗਤ ਅੰਦਰ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਦਿਹੁੰ ਰੈਣ ਬੈਕੁੰਠੀ, ਆਨੰਦ ਮਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੇਰੀ ਕਿਸਮਤ ਦਾ ਬੀਜ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਫੁਟ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ। ਪਰਮ ਚੰਗੇ ਨਸੀਬਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਮੈਂ ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਓੜਕ ਤੇ ਹੱਦਬੰਨਾ ਜਾਣਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ। ਆਪਣੇ ਗੋਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਫੜ ਕੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਜਗਤ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਧੂ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਮੇਰੇ ਜੰਮਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਣੇ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਦਰਵਾਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਵੇਖਾਂਗਾ। ਨਾਨਕ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਪਕੜੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬਾਰੰਬਾਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। |
| English Meaning | Todee, Fifth Mehl: In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I contemplate the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. I am in peaceful poise and bliss, day and night; the seed of my destiny has sprouted. ||Pause|| I have met the True Guru, by great good fortune; He has no end or limitation. Taking His humble servant by the hand, He pulls him out of the poisonous world-ocean. ||1|| Birth and death are ended for me, by the Word of the Guru's Teachings; I shall no longer pass through the door of pain and suffering. Nanak holds tight to the Sanctuary of his Lord and Master; again and again, he bows in humility and reverence to Him. ||2||9||28|| |

| Punjabi Meaning | ਦੋਹਰਾ: ਜਦੋਂ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ (ਤੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ) ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਗਿਆ (ਤਾਂ) ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਅਸਤ੍ਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨਾ ਸਾਧ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੰਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੰਦਰ ਕੇ, ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਫੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੫੪॥ ਸਵੈਯਾ: ਇੰਦਰ ਆਦਿ ਜਿਤਨੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੂਰਵੀਰ ਸਨ, ਬਾਣ ਦੇ ਛੁਟਦਿਆਂ ਹੀ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਤੇ ਆ ਗਏ। ਰਾਮ (ਕਵੀ) ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ) ਹੱਥ ਵਿਚ ਅਗਨ-ਅਸਤ੍ਰ (ਭਾਵ ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ) ਲੈ ਕੇ, ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ। (ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ) ਰਾਜਾ (ਖੜਗ ਸਿੰਘ) ਨੇ ਧਨੁਸ਼ ਬਾਣ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਕਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੀਰ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਰੇ ਹਨ। (ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ) ਘਾਇਲ ਅਤੇ ਲਹੂ ਲੁਹਾਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇੰਦਰ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ (ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ) ਇੱਕਠਿਆਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਧਾਵਾ ਬੋਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ॥੧੪੫੫॥ |
