ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੰਦੇਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੁਲੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੀ ਲਗਨ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬੰਦਾ ਘਣੇਰੀ ਤਕਲੀਫ ਭੋਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਹ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਕਿਰਮ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਗੰਦਗੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੀ ਗਲ ਸੜ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪੁਰਸ਼ ਕਬੂਲ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਆਪ ਹੁਦਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਦੀ।
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਝੰਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਠਹਿਰਾਉ।
ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਭਾਗਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੁਢਲੀ ਐਸੀ ਲਿਖਤਾਕਾਰ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਰੰਗੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਰੱਬ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਕਾਲ ਸਤਾਈ ਆਰਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਸ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਜੀਵ ਦੀ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਸ ਪਰਮ ਆਤਮਾ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਨਾਮ ਹੀ ਜਗਤ ਦਾ ਪਾਰ ਉਤਾਰਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਦਇਆ ਦੁਆਰਾ, ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਝੋਂ, ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੀ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
ਪੂਰਨ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹੀ ਭਾਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਦਾਤ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਹੁਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਕੇਵਲ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਖੁਦ ਦਰਸਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਸੱਚੇ ਗੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਾਕਰੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ, ਪਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਾਮ ਪੱਕਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੋ ਇਥੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪ੍ਰਮਾਣੀਕ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪੁਰਸ਼।

Without the grace of good karma, all are deluded by doubt.
In attachment to Maya, they suffer in terrible pain.
They are like maggots in manure, rotting away in manure. ||1||

The blind, self-willed manmukhs find no place of rest.
Through the Word of the Guru's Shabad, he is blessed with the insignia and the banner of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||
Those who have such pre-ordained destiny are imbued with the Naam.
The Name of the Lord is forever pleasing to their minds.
Through the Bani, the Word of the True Guru, eternal peace is found.
Through it, one's light merges into the Light. ||2||
Only the Naam, the Name of the Lord, can save the world.
By Guru's Grace, one comes to love the Naam.
Without the Naam, no one obtains liberation.
Through the Perfect Guru, the Naam is obtained. ||3||
He alone understands, whom the Lord Himself causes to understand.
